This white color mutation is commonly referred to as “platinum”. Instead of a typical silver body, the foundation is very white to golden in color. This is a highly unusual morph that appears randomly after breeding thousands of offspring. Pseudoplatystoma tigrinum, often known as the tiger sorubim or caparari, is a species of long-whiskered catfish found in the Amazon Basin of South America. This species can grow to 130 cm in total length.
